NOTE: This post does have a season finale spoiler of last seasons true blood. You have been warned Further Disclaimer... the man was so beautiful and the lighting was not the greatest so needless to say NOT the best photos... I was semi shaking... seriously.. Keep reading for the 4-1-1

I was in the same room as Alcide.... yes ladies the beautiful man that plays Alcide... God he makes me want to watch True Blood right now on this cold, dark chilly day in October.



How did this happen you ask? Well let's flash forward 2 weeks before San Diego con.

Like every nerd on the planet I was patiently awaiting to see what panels Nerd HQ was going to offer.

My days in the dreaded cubicle were the same, sit at my computer...ignore a phone call, get on Nerd Machine's website, go to Nerd HQ for announcements...

Refresh... Still Nothing... Refresh again.... Still nothing... After about 145,854 times of checking the website, finally the panels were listed.

When all of the sudden I gasped very loudly, to the point one of my co-workers asked if I was ok...

I squeak "Joe Manganiello is going to have a panel at Nerd HQ". (For the record, my co-worker, said that was something worth squealing about and she wanted to know what his butt feels like... yes Sheena, we all do)

I quickly stop everything I am doing told the attorney I had a computer glitch and I was going to have to call him back (this is Alcide we are talking about here) and called my mother, and nearly had an all out nerd panick attack. 'OMG OMG Mom we have to go, you want to go right?" . Umm duh, of course she did!

So when it came time to get the tickets, I rubbed my hands together, signed on, snagged the tickets, get to the check out and then BAM the tickets disappear... I freak out, tweet Nerd HQ a million tweets freaking out. Go back to get tickets again and received a message that the event sold out.

What? No this can't be? This is a joke? They had a glitch... NO!!!!!!! I am going to try again... just in case

So after about 20 minutes of pretty much an all out nerd breakdown, I tried again. I am glad I did, because I snagged two tickets. Mom and I were going to be up close with Alcide himself.

Then came the waiting game...

See here is the thing. I think he is the hottest thing going in Hollywood right now (him and Chris Hemsworth!) he has the body of a god, a killer smile, and based on his education, I am willing to bet every dime in my checking account he is highly intelligent, Carnegie Mellon University is no joke.

In fact, the only reason I watch the train wreck that is True Blood is for him. True Story, ask Ashley Nemer.

FINALLY it was time for SDCC, and finally I was going to be in the same room as one of my top five hottest male actors (at Nerd HQ nontheless, home to another one of my top 5 Zachary Levi).

Don't worry I don't have my thoughts on Joe twisted, I know this post is coming across borderline obsessive, but come on guys, he is HOT!

Mom & I enter the room and much to my surprise Alan Tudyk was moderating. I love Firefly, Dollhouse and Serenity, so I of course was nerding out about him too.



The panel was hilarious, those who say men are the perverted got it all wrong. Women are insane, when they get in a room with a hot guy, and told to ask away. These women did not hold back when it came to questions.

When is the next time you will get naked on True Blood? was pretty much the first question asked.

We would also find out what his costume is when he does nude scenes.



I gotta give it to Joe, he held it together. He told us he would get naked one more time on the show..... SPOILER ALERT if you have not finished True Blood's last season go to the next paragraph!!!! He totally gets it on With Sookie *screams with glee* cause that means way more nakedness next season ***END SPOILER***

He told us he has a she-wolf in real life. He even teased us that he was going to take his shirt off, but then just put the shirt he received over the one he was wearing... Ugh.. Jerk. Hot men should NOT be allowed to tease like that! Seriously! THANK GOD I OWN MAGIC MIKE!!!!

Trust me ladies I snapped AWAY hoping to get photos of that god like body he has...



Honestly I was too busy snapping pictures of him, I didn't catch everything he said. I was texting Ashley during the event, and Ashley wanted me to ask if that was his ummm thing in Magic Mike...

In case you were wondering, I didn't ask. So we still don't know.
Told you women were perverted.

In fact I was trying so hard to not hyperventilate, my pictures were not turning out... Mom kept having to tell me to calm down and I didn't even speak to the guy...

Then to top this all off Zachary Levi dashed out quickly at the end of the panel, ladies I am not kidding, I felt like I was in Heaven.

Then Joe tosses stickers to the crowd which signaled the panel was over.

Now if I can just meet the man. Seriously.

PS I totally still have the sticker, It is pinned on my board over my bed, it is the first thing I see every morning. I know twisted ;)

Meeting the cast of Vikings!

I  (Jen) have been back from San Diego Comic Con for almost a month now, and I am just now able to share my experiences with everyone. Sorry fellow stalkers, but this girl has been busy, so how was con you ask?

In one word, Con was AWESOME.

I had so much fun, but by time Sunday rolled around I was exhausted.

About a week after con, I went through my photos and I quickly realized why I was so tired, I was nonstop, from the moment I stepped off the plane to the moment I got back on the plane.

I have lots of funny experiences I want to share with you, starting with my favorite.

Meeting the cast of Vikings.

Let me start off by saying, it is no secret if you know me personally that I firmly believe te Norwegians are my people and I really think somewhere along my ancestry, a Viking man got with a Roman woman and then BAM eventually I was made. (I have grey eyes and a Roman foot afterall!)

So when the history channel announced their new series Vikings, I knew one hour of my week would be committed to a relationship with this show.

What I didn't expect is to love this brutal brutal show.

So long story short, when I got to con and realized Vikings had an entire set up outside the convention, I was beyond estatic.

I didn't take part in the boat races (I couldn't find a SINGLE person willing to team up with me! slackers) but I did learn that Friday morning, the cast was going to have a signing at 11am.

I didn't have tickets for con on Friday, which meant I had time to explore, so Friday morning at 8:56 am I lined up. The line was split in 2, the first line for Ragnar, Siggy & Rollo, and the second for Floki, Lagertha & Athelstan. As I am deeply drawn to Ragnar (and more importantly my mother loves Ragnar, it was a no brainer which line I would get in!)

They handed out comic books to get signed, and as I agreed to give my mom the signed comic book (You better leave it your will to me mom!)I didn't care as I was the one that was going to meet the cast. (she had con tickets, but would later admit she regretted not joining me)

Honestly I think con has gotten too big and at times it is annoying, but no matter how big it is, sitting and talking with other fans that share the same Fandom as you is energizing.

After waiting just over 2 hours it was time to meet the cast.

For my mother...

The cast allowed pictures, which is rare especially when they have such time frames to meet as many as possible.

Ok so let's talk meeting the cast, the first round of meet and greets, I can't even tell you what happened. As I was completely mesmerized by Travis Fimmel, he plays Ragnar... and yes his eyes are that BEAUTIFUL in person.

Jessalyn Gilsig was beautiful, and so sweet. (yes sometimes I forget that the stars are people too, and quite often they are nice)

Clive Standen was hot. I couldn't really speak to him, even though he was super nice!

Ok so after I made it through this line, I knew I had about 30 minutes to make it through the other line. I had to get all 6 signatures for my mother.

Why you ask? My mother once sacrificed her wrist band for the Chuck signing and gave it to me so I could meet the cast, I had to do this for her!

While I was in line, I noticed the cast started coming out and meeting with the fans, not sitting behind the table, this was even after the announcer said no more photos, to help speed the line up.

Let's just say the cast wasn't having it. They still took pictures, asked people to tweet the pictures to them.... I have never seen anything like it.

So when it was my time to meet up with the other three cast members I was shocked at how much time was spent with them. This is the first time I felt like the cast was very excited to meet their fans, not just making an appearance because the studio said so.

Katheryn Winnick, asked someone to take a picture of all the girls in the line, so about 6 of us posed for a picture with her. I have no clue where that picture is, but I would LOVE a copy!

and let me just say Katheryn Winnick is STUNNING, her make up artist is amazing at making her look like a warrior, because in person she is stunning.

In the end not only did I get all 6 signatures for my mother, I realized that I am very excited for season 2 of Vikings, especially after meeting a cast that are not only amazing actors, but amazing people.

Yes everyone, when it comes to admiration... these guys deserve it 100%

Jason David Frank & Space City Con

What a fun and exciting event! Today was a complete blast. I (Ashley) and my hubby went out to the WestChase area of Houston and attended Space City Con. When I first found out about this event I got extremely excited knowing that I would in fact meet more of the original cast of The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. That's right! The hit show from the 90's that every future Ninja grew up loving. At Comic Palooza this year I met the original Blue and Black Rangers.

This time around I met two of the awesome people that brought humor to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Then let's not forget the main event ... Jason David Frank! He was super nice. So full of energy and looked great with the green streak through his hair. I asked if he would do me a quick favor and give a video greeting to my two friends who wanted to be there but couldn't. And he said yes! 

Of course this wasn't the only thing that was exciting. I got to sit in the captains chair of the USS Enterprise. Growing up I loved watching this show with my mom and brother.

So all in all it is easy to say it was a fun and exciting day!

The Opening Remarks

I have been totally slacking - I was supposed to start this blog out three weeks and some how time slipped right on by. The Jen and Ash show is now in commencement and we are very excited. But now that dreaded time - What do I write about? And this has to be a great topic especially since it's the first posting. So i think it would be best if I start with our first encounter of stal...admiration.

One day, in the year of 2010, Jennifer and I were discussing ComicPalooza and how it would be fun to go because Jason Dorhing would be there. We quickly by tickets to the event. We had two tag-a-longs, my husband and Jennifer's brother. Poor men. Anyway, we embark on our journey.

You can imagine how two fan girls were. We loved Veronica Mars and Moonlight and Jason Dorhing was going to be there signing autographs. We hurried through the crowds of people to find where his table location would be. We found a spot on the ground and parked ourselves waiting. Francis Capra was the first to arrive. He was super nice. I got like ten photos with him. He signed our stuff and joked around. Absolutely delightful. And he smelled really good.

On a side note - met Peter Mayhew, he did not smell so good.

After hours of waiting, and I mean like actual hours. From eight am until three pm he finally arrived. I was a little irritated at us, we had been sitting there forever, yet some how we were not first in line. Come on girls, what were we thinking!!

When we start approaching him, we see he has his cell phone out. That's when we realize, he is snapping Cell phone photos of us! How Freaking Fantastic is that! - insert the dreamy sighing noise cause that's what I'm totally doing as I relive this moment-We walked up, he smiled nice and big to us. He asked us where was there a good place to get a steak. Thank god Jennifer was on the ball cause me, damn I was dense. I said "Texas Roadhouse." Now, who in their right mind tells JASON FREAKING DOHRING to go to Texas Roadhouse for steak!!!

One insane fan let me tell ya. I was so embarrassed! He asked us if we liked him in Veronica Mars and OF COURSE I gotta make an ass of myself then and say "No it was that other show, oh my god what was it, Jenn help me!!" "You mean, Moonlight?" "YES THAT'S IT!"

Idiot!!!! Me, not them. haha.

This was a great time, all in all. My first taste of admiration in person ... it got me hooked. Now, onto Hollywood ...
